FINDING COLOUR
With gold holding at well over $1,000.00 an ounce, while lashed to a very slow recovering economy, it has become a very profitable and strongly desirable commodity. Gold today is a major investment in the form of stocks and bullion, as well as, coins, nuggets, flakes and dust. Not to mention all the hawkers trying to separate you from your unused or broken jewelry and old tooth fillings. No wonder so many are considering returning to the source. Colour is a colloquialism, spelt in its original English, which denotes finding gold. Prospectors have long referred to colour in the pan or sluice box, when obtaining placer gold. I am presenting a “How To” book, which also makes interesting reading. In this book I reveal all aspects necessary to finding gold, including maps with a virtual “X”.

A fact filled adventure story for starters, will entertain and serve as a guide for naive novice prospectors ushering them through pitfalls, which they may encounter. Subsequent chapters proceed to aid and assist in planning a successful trip to the gold country. Whether your pursuit be recreational, more serious, or professional, the process outlined should bring thrilling results. The book puts an emphasis on environmental practices, rules and regulations, equipment needed, methods of extraction and processing, permits, assaying, smelting, to making your own jewelry. Also noted is the value of securing a claim for family recreational purposes. By providing definite locations where gold is presently found. My hope is to make my readers very happy campers, whether they be weekend warriors or corporate entities.

In my book “Wildlife in the Redwoods” and other subsequent published pieces in ten anthologies and two magazines, I have used real life experiences. This book will also. It is formatted on countless excursions into the gold country. Pinpointing where gold has been found in unfamiliar streams near uncommonly isolated areas with rarely whispered town names. The book’s backbone exudes from my family’s own mining history and innumerable taped interviews, documenting present day recovery of the precious metal. I am respectfully submitting this wealth of knowledge for your thoughtful consideration.
